Paulo Mattos is Managing Director and Head of Investments at IG4 Capital, which was founded in 2016. Paulo was a Partner at RK Partners (2016-2017), a leading advisory firm specialized in debt restructuring and operational turnarounds, and a Managing Director at GP Investments (2012-2016), a leading alternative investment firm in Latin America.

At GP Investments, Paulo was the Head of Infrastructure and Telecommunications group and served on the Investment Committee. He was the founder of BR Towers, where he served as Chairman (2012-2014).

Before joining GP Investments, Paulo was an Executive Vice President of Business Strategy, Wholesale and Regulatory at Oi S.A (2009-2012), the largest telecommunications company in Brazil at that time. While at Oi he worked in the execution of the company’s turnaround and he served on the Executive Committee, Financial Risk Committee and Operations Committee. Paulo also worked at the Brazilian Development Bank, BNDES, as a Superintendent-Director, in addition to being a member of the Credit & Investment Committee and Head of the Managerial Committee (2007-2009).

Currently, Paulo is the Chairman of Iguá Saneamento S.A., one of the main private water and sanitation companies in Brazil.

Paulo is also a venture capitalist through Capital Lab, a seed and venture proprietary capital investment platform focused on telecommunications, media and technology in emerging markets.

Paulo holds a J.D. and a Ph.D. in Law from University of São Paulo, was Fulbright Visiting Scholar at Yale University, and is a permanent member of the Board of Directors of the Brazilian Center for Analysis and Planning – CEBRAP and member of Getulio Vargas Foundation, leading think tanks specialized in public policy and business administration.

Gustavo Buffara is a Managing Director at IG4 Capital. Gustavo was a Senior Director at RK Partners (2016-2017), analyzing investment opportunities, and a Senior Associate at GP Investments (2012-2016) working on the infrastructure and telecom team.

Before joining GP Investments, Gustavo worked at Bain & Company in projects across the infrastructure and financial services sectors. He started his career at Telefônica, where he held executive positions for strategy, M&A and regulation in Brazil and Spain.

Mr. Buffara holds an MBA from IMD (Switzerland) and a bachelor’s degree in Public Administration from Getúlio Vargas Foundation.

Felipe Fingerl is a Director at IG4 Capital. Prior to IG4 Capital, Felipe was a Director at RK Partners (2016), analyzing investment opportunities, and an associate at GP Investments (2012-2016) conducting analysis for investment opportunities in the infrastructure and telecom industries.

Before joining GP Investments, Felipe was part of the Latin America Equity Capital Markets division of J.P. Morgan in Brazil and NY. Prior to that, he was part of the Investment Banking team of Banco Modal, where he participated in M&A and capital market deals in the infrastructure, consumer, real estate, retail, financial institutions and construction sectors, among others.

Mr. Fingerl holds a bachelor’s degree in Economics from the Pontifical Catholic University of Rio de Janeiro.

Felipe Tonetti is an Associate at IG4 Capital. Before joining IG4 Capital, Felipe worked in M&A at BRF (2016-2017), one of the largest food companies in the world, and a Tarpon Investments portfolio company. Prior to that, he worked in Strategic and Financial Planning at Beleza Natural (2014-2016), a beauty products and services company, and a GP Investments portfolio company.

Previously, Felipe was an Analyst at GP Investments (2012-2014), where he worked on the Beleza Natural transaction and other investment opportunities in the real estate, consumer services, education sectors, among others.

Felipe holds a bachelor’s degree in Business Management from the University of São Paulo.

Rafael Machado is an Associate at IG4 Capital. Prior to IG4 Capital, Rafael was an Analyst at RK Partners (2015-2017), working in investment opportunities in different of sectors, including infrastructure, telecom and real estate. Rafael worked at Caterpillar (2013-2014) and was a summer intern at Itaú BBA.
 
Mr. Machado holds a bachelor’s degree in Production Engineering from the State University of Campinas and studied Finance and Business at Missouri University of Science & Technology and Polytechnic University of Madrid.

Mateus Renault is an associate at IG4 Capital and senior manager for strategic planning at Igua Saneamento S.A. Before joining IG4 Capital, Mateus worked as a reorganization specialist at Banco Votorantim, where he supported the executive management team in the bank’s turnaround process (2014 to 2016). Prior to that, he worked in investment banking at Goldman Sachs (2013-2014), and equity research at Banco Espirito Santo (2011-2013) and Banco Fator (2010-2011).
 
Mr. Renault holds an MBA degree from the Yale School of Management (class of 2018) and a bachelor’s degree in economics from Universidade de Brasília (UnB). In 2017, Mateus was a summer associate at Tarpon Investimentos, when he mostly worked at Somos Educacao, a portfolio company.

Beatriz Dauzacker is an Analyst at IG4 Capital. Before joining IG4 Capital, Beatriz worked at New York Bay Capital (2017), a boutique M&A advisory firm in New York. Prior to that, she was an intern at Citibank’s Corporate Banking Division in Rio de Janeiro.

Beatriz holds a bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering from the Pontifical Catholic University of Rio de Janeiro and studied at the Technical University of Darmstadt, in Germany, as part of her undergraduate degree.

Carlos Mateos is a director at IG4 Capital. Carlos was a Director at Patria Investimentos (2011-2018) responsible for Investor Relations and Fundraising and a Board Member at Highline do Brasil (2012-2016), a Patria Infrastructure portfolio company in the Tower Telecom segment.

Before joining Patria, Carlos was Director Vice President at JER Partners (2008-2011), an American real estate private equity firm, responsible for asset management.

Mr. Mateos holds Master in International Business from Moore School of Business in South Carolina and a bachelor’s degree in Economics from Pontificia Universidade Catolica.

Carolina Niemeyer serves as the General Counsel and as the Compliance Manager of IG4 Capital.

Carolina is a Brazilian lawyer focused on corporate and infrastructure projects and other financial transactions. She has participated in a number of capital market transactions including IPOs and the establishment of MTN Programs and the issuance of debt securities in both the Reg. S and 144 A markets. She has experience representing large Brazilian corporations and major financial institutions, mostly in Latin America and is highly skilled in multi-cultural situations with international professional experience in Brazil, Italy, Switzerland, the Netherlands and China.

Before joining IG4 Capital, Carolina worked for Clifford Chance, Mayer Brown and Davis Polk.

Mrs. Niemeyer holds a law a bachelor’s degree in law (J.D.) from the Pontificia Universidade Católica de São Paulo and is a member of the Brazilian Bar Association.

IG4 Operations Company

Andre Mastrobuono joined IG4 Operations Company as an advisor and member of the Investment Committee of IG4 Capital Special Situations Fund II in 2017, contributing with his large and successful experience in special situations.

Previously, he was the CEO of URBPLAN (2014-2017), a real estate development company which was distressed where spearheaded its turnaround. Before URBPLAN, he served as the CEO of San Antonio International (2010-2013), an oil and gas services company which was also distressed when he joined. Additionally, in 2009 he was the CEO of Santelisa Vale, an ethanol, sugar and bioenergy company. Andre was the CEO on Parmalat Brasil (2008-2009), the Brazilian arm of an Italian dairy and food corporation, which is where he began his professional experience in special situations. In all of these companies, with the exception of Santelisa Vale, Andre was appointed by the respective private equity firm that was the controlling shareholder.

Prior to special situations, Andre served as the CEO of Telemig Celular (2006-2008), which was subsequently acquired by Telefonica and as General Director at Vivo (2002-2006). Andre was also an Associated Principal at McKinsey & Company (1996-2002).

Mr. Mastrobuono holds an MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business and a degree in Engineering from the University of São Paulo.

Otavio Silveira joined IG4 Operations Company in 2017 as an advisor. Previously, he served as the CEO of CAB Ambiental (2014-2017), and was instrumental in the success of the transaction executed by IG4 Capital, and the transition to a new management team. Otavio is also a member of the Analysis, Risk & Environmental Planning and Operations Committee at Iguá Saneamento.

Before CAB Ambiental, Otavio was the CEO of Dreen Brasil Investimentos (2008-2014), a renewable energy company, in which Otavio was involved since its creation. The company developed greenfield wind and hydro projects participating in successful auctions for the sale of energy to the grid and also, during that period, was designated as Chairman of Abeeólica, the Brazilian Wind Association. Previously, Otavio was a Director of Planning at Intervias (1999-2004), a highway concession company in São Paulo.

Mr. Silveira has an MBA in Business Administration from Getulio Vargas Foundation, an MBA in Economic Engeneering from Dom Cabral Foundation and has a degree in Engineering from Federal University of Minas Gerais.

Gustavo Guimaraes joined IG4 Operations Company in 2017 and is currently the CEO of Iguá Saneamento, an IG4 Capital portfolio company. Previously, Gustavo was the CFO of Sanepar (2015-2017), a state owned water and sanitation company in Brazil, where he successfully led the company’s follow-on.

Prior to Sanepar, Gustavo was the CFO of Algar Agro (2010-2014), a commodities trading company focused on soy beans, as well as a Senior Manager at KPMG (2007-2010).

Mr. Guimaraes has an MBA from Ibmec Business School and a bachelor’s degree in Accounting from Pontifícia Universidade Católica de Minas Gerais.

Loy Pires is a member of IG4 Capital Investment Committee. Before joining IG4, Loy was an IFC executive having served as Global Client Head in Washington DC, where he reported directly to IFC  Chief Operating Officer & Vice President and, prior to that, as IFC Brazil Country Head. Loy also served other senior positions within the organization as IFC Asia Regional Manager, Head of IFC in Mumbai, and IFC Eastern Europe CIO, totaling 23 years of experience in the emerging markets. Before IFC, Loy held positions in strategic consulting, business development and audit.
 
Mr. Pires holds a Bachelor degree from the University of Mumbai, an MBA from the University of Michigan and is a UK Chartered Accountant.
