AIMCo anchors a primary investment of R$400 million in Iguá Saneamento

Alberta Investment Management Corporation (“AIMCo”) has anchored a primary capital injection of R$400 million in Iguá Saneamento, a private water and sewage holding company controlled by IG4 Capital.

AIMCo’s investment will be made directly via FIP Iguá and FIP Mayim. FIP Iguá is an investment vehicle controlled by IG4 Capital and through which it holds a controlling stake of 67,76% in Iguá Saneamento, with BNDES Participações (“BNDESPAR”) holding a 10,56% stake. FIP Mayim is a new investment vehicle comprised of only one quota holder, AIMCo, and directly holds shares of Iguá Saneamento that represent 21,68% of the total equity capital. Following the capital injection, IG4 Capital will manage AIMCo’s investments in FIP Mayim and FIP Iguá, as well as that of the other quota holders in FIP Iguá.

Proceeds from the investment will go to helping Iguá Saneamento meet the investment demands for its 18 existing concessions and public-private partnerships as well as pursuing new concession opportunities in the sector.
